This right here sums up my frustrations with parents in China when they have a shy kid. They act like it’s so horrible when kids are shy that more times than not, THEY cause the shyness. I have conversations with parents all the time about how it’s okay for their kid to be a little shy. It doesn’t mean they can’t do anything. It just means they need to be approached in a different way.
