The way I see it, it forces me to get out of the house and see what's going on in my town. A lot of my Newsbreak stories come from flyers and going to different restaurants. Or if I feel like being a homebody, I look at the local insights page to give me ideas run with them.

Downside is I feel like I can't do too much personal writing, so that's where Medium comes in. I keep broad topics on Medium and local topics on NewBreak. So far, it's working.
