The summer of 2006 was a special year. It was the year I graduated high school and started to become an actual adult. It was also the year I hear Panic! at the Disco for the first time. P!ATD was a fairly new band around that time. They just released their first album in 2005.

Ever since the first time I heard I Write Sins, Not Tragedies, I was hooked on them. I knew almost every song by heart. I don’t have every song memorized now, but they’re still my favorite band. Whenever any of my friends have a KTV night, it’s guaranteed I’m looking for a Panic! at the Disco song to sing.

Like every good musician, PATD has evolved over time. And like a proper adult, I’ve evolved over time as well. Every stage of my adult life had a Panic! album attached to it. Each can sum up the different parts of my world easily.

The first album from Panic! at the Disco! The first time I’m going into the world as an adult, not a kid. People were excited about what I had to offer in this strange world. I left my hometown to chase dreams and create brand new ones.

The biggest supporters remember this time as starting out strong. While the haters will say this was the only time both song and human were ever good. Others refuse…
