Procrastination Helps me Pack

I don’t think I’ll ever stop procrastinating. Not in this life, or the next. If past lives were a thing, I was probably a procrastinator in that one too. Sometimes, I get my best ideas, while at other times I’ve lost a lot of sleep.

When it comes to travel, I still procrastinate. I do everything I can to avoid packing for a trip until I’m at a point I have to do it. I’ll order food then binge-watch YouTube videos until I’m too tired to think about packing. But do it anyway cause I always book an early train or early flight.

I hate packing, and that’s one of the things I‘m good at. No matter how late I start packing, I surprise myself with how much I can stuff in my suitcase. It’s more surprising how much more I can pack after I’ve gone souvenir shopping.

Procrastination can be good

Procrastination is supposed to be bad, but for me, it’s worked out beautifully. The way I do things, procrastination can be considered a superpower. If I ever found myself wanting to do screenwriting, I’d call up Trey Parker and Matt Stone to see if South Park ever needed a new writer.

The fact it takes me forever to pack, despite my love of travel, shows that I can fit anything into any space. And if you’ve ever worked as a cashier, or have multiple children, you’ll understand pretty quickly why that’s a pretty good skill to have.

Maybe, instead of doing everything you can to get rid of procrastination, let it go in small amounts. Sometimes, it can bring out your most creative ideas.
