Observations After One Year Of Going To The Gym
I’m talking about everything this time
It’s been a year since I turned to weightlifting. I didn’t get into it to lose weight or get fit. I needed stress relief while going through Grad School.
After graduating, I decided to keep going to the gym. I saw so many benefits, that I wrote several articles about them. This article is about why I’m choosing to stay with the gym long after getting my Master’s degree. When you think about it, why wouldn’t I?
I Didn’t Realize How Out Of Shape I Was Until Hitting The Gym
Before I started going to the gym, my dad and I went to a wedding located three hours from where I lived. At the time, I started getting knee pain every time I drove. The way to the wedding was painful, but doable. But on the way back, my knee hurt so bad, that my dad had to drive halfway through.
It didn’t take many gym sessions to see I wasn’t as in shape as I was in my twenties. If I sat criss-cross for more than a minute, I walked funny for a minute, for example. My feet hurt from standing too long, and I felt my pace was slower than normal.
