Now I'm going to have to reread The Grownup, Sharp Objects, and Gone Girl. I don't remember animal abuse in any of these! I remember the pig slaughter house in Sharp Objects, but I don't remember Ama being so awful with the pigs. Maybe that's just for the movie?

Not something I want to think about though. I can't handle animal abuse either. (Don't ever watch Drag Me To Hell.) I'm that person who starts crying the moment someone abuses an animal on film. I can't handle it at all.
