I noticed it tends to be older generations that get huffy about nut allergies. I've heard people say things like, "If there were really this many nut allergies, the peanut butter industry would be out of business."
But if what the older people said was true, how come more and more classrooms are becoming peanut-free? And peanut butter is still a thriving business.
I feel like people are losing their empathy over the years, and your article is highlighting that. I'd rather go a few hours without a nut than find out my appetite for them killed somebody.
