I have conflicted feelings about Snape. I don’t like how he treated his students, but I do think he’s the best teacher Hogwarts ever had. In my article about the sixth book, I go in a little bit of detail about why I think he’s the best teacher ever, and his teaching Dark Arts before being a DADA teacher somewhat comes up. But more in terms of teaching Harry Occlumency and Expeliarmus.

I don’t like the whole Snape/Lily thing. It seemed creepy and poorly done, but it doesn’t take away from his talents as a teacher.
