A Week-Long Break From Writing Was What I Needed
Last week wasn’t the most fantastic week for me, writing-wise. I wasn’t busy with life, but I couldn’t focus on writing anything, no matter what I did. I’d start an article, get going but wouldn’t get halfway through before I lost steam.
I had some articles on other platforms I could repurpose, so it wasn’t like I completely missed out on writing. But anything new? I couldn’t get anything out.
This year, I’ve been trying to relax more, especially when I find myself in a creative rut. This past week gave me a chance to do that.
So, what does one do with themself when feeling uninspired? Stressing about the thing isn’t going to make someone more creative. It’s going to make that person feel worse about themselves.
Whatever happens, the main purpose is relaxation. What works for one isn’t going to work for someone else.
If you made it this far and are expecting something unique, you might be disappointed. I’m not going to tell you that I did cartwheels all over my house while scream-singing “High Hopes,” so prepare to be disappointed. I haven’t done a cartwheel since college, and my shoulder hurt the next day.
Instead, I did some other things.
